Heart & Mind's March Clinician of the Month is Shimekia "Trudy" Williams.
Trudy received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Washington Adventist University and specializes in couples therapy - enhancing connection, communication, and intimacy through curiosity and empathy. She also works with individuals seeking to reclaim their sense of purpose, overcome emotional overwhelm, develop inner strength, and break free from cycles of self-doubt and negative thinking.
Trudy uses evidence-based approaches like the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also drawing upon methods tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
