Where are you located?
We are a Maryland-based virtual service. All of our sessions are provided via Telehealth. We accept therapy and psychiatry clients located in Maryland. We accept coaching clients located anywhere in the US.
Can I pay out-of-pocket, and what is the rate?
Should you choose to pay privately for services, our providers charge between $40-$130 per session. To see each provider’s rate per session, please see their profiles on the Staff page.
How can I start therapy?
Our process is created with you in mind. Please fill out the appropriate New Client form, providing the requested information. Our practice manager will create your TherapyPortal account, send intake paperwork, and ensure all documentation is complete. You can then schedule your intake appointment. During your intake, you and your therapist will work out a regular schedule.
What are your hours?
Each of our clinicians keeps their own schedule. We typically have therapists available with hours ranging from 8am to 7pm on weekdays, as well as Saturday hours.
Am I able to cancel my appointments?
If you are unable to attend your virtual session, please let either the office or your clinician know at least 24 hours beforehand. Day-of / late cancellations will incur a $100 fee. Current clients can cancel appointments by logging onto the portal, emailing our office, or by calling/texting their therapist directly.
Can I switch my therapist?
Absolutely! If you feel like your therapist isn't the right fit for you, please let our office know and we'll help you find a better match.
How can I obtain my medical records?
Do you participate in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
Yes, we do provide EAP services. If you would like to utilize your EAP benefit, you must provide your EAP code prior to your first counseling session.
Do you offer consultations?
Yes! Please let us know if you would like to have a quick 15 to 20 minute consultation with a specific counselor. This helps determine if it is the right fit!
Do you offer in-person and telehealth services?
At this time we only offer telehealth services.
Do you work with couples?
We have multiple counselors who specialize in couples counseling and would be delighted to help you embark on your therapy journey. We provide premarital or marriage counseling. Our therapist, Johnetta Howard, is certified in SYMBIS - Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts.
How do I know if I need therapy or psychiatry?
Therapy is great if you're working through emotional challenges, relationship issues, life transitions, or want to develop better coping strategies. Consider psychiatry if you're experiencing symptoms that might benefit from medication, like PTSD or bipolar disorder. Our psychiatry provider, Sarah Langham, prescribes and manages medication.
Research also shows that combining therapy alongside medication is more effective than either alone. Our staff can help you determine what path is best for you.
Please complete the Medical Records Request, including all relevant information.
